Gulftex Operating Inc. President Tim P Burroughs

If you don’t know who he is already, Timothy P. Burroughs is the President of Gulftex Operating In and TBX Resources Inc. With a degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas, Tim has made a successful career for himself in the gas and oil industry. With both companies, he has put together business plans for massive expansion and undergoing larger projects by acquiring more property to expand.

His major strategy though, has been forming relationships with the right people and companies to get the jobs done. This was the case in late 1998 to 1999 when Tim formed a relationships with an engineering group in Oklahoma City. With this group, they worked on assembling 76,000 acres to drill and utilize the drainage characteristics that the land already possessed. They utilized a technology know as Volumertric analysis and 3-D seismic to find the best locations to drill, which was the cutting edge technology at the time. Shortly after determining the areas to drill, they formed another relationship with St Mary’s Land & Exploration and Chesapeake Energy to get the drilling done. These relationships proved to be very successful partnerships and they all succeeded in accomplishing their goals for the project.

Shortly after, Tim Burroughs grew the company more by acquiring acreage in the Fort Worth Basin known as the Barnett Shale. From 2004 to 2008, Gulftex Operating had drilled 42 wells while forming additional partnerships with companies such as Conoco Phillips, Devon Energy, Encana, XTO, Trip Operating, Williams, Burlington Resources and Braden Exploration by drilling with or for them. From there, Tim P. Burroughs founded Gulftex Gathering LP. This particular company set out in 206 to build the first pipeline systems in the Argyle, Bartonville and Copper Canyon Townships in Fort Worth Texas. Since then, they have expanded to over 450 producing wells in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
